Hello! My name is Siya Kulkarni. I am an aspiring physician currently enrolled in the 4+4 BS/MD Program at Hofstra University with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA, earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Siya earned both the Gold Award and the National GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship for her work on Project EnAble. Siya was recognized at the GSUSA's Nationwide Girl Scouts Change the World Celebration.
Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, The Diana Award is the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work. Siya is a 2021 Diana Recipient and looks forward to using her international platform to continue spreading autism awareness and to inspire youth make a difference in their communities.
The President's Volunteer Service Award is a civil award bestowed by the President of the United States in recognition of outstanding volunteer contributions in community service to the United States.
Extremely determined to make a change in her community and bond with like minded individuals who are also focused on entering the field of healthcare, Siya became involved with HOSA- Future Health Professionals. Siya served as the State Secretary for New Jersey HOSA for the 2019-2020 term and is forever grateful for the opportunity to serve.
As the NJ HOSA Northern Regional Vice President for the 2020-2021 term, Siya organized 3 conferences for 4,500+ members and led virtual regional and state conferences. She also created and conducted insightful workshops for members and assisted in organizing social events during the pandemic as another way of interacting with members.
The Governor's STEM Scholars are New Jersey's top high school and college students who are committed to being the future of the state's STEM workforce and economy. The Governor's STEM Scholars was established by the Research & Development Council of NJ and strengthened by support from some of the state's top researchers and STEM professionals.

Siya was named as the second place winner in the state of New Jersey and received a scholarship of $4,400.

Siya won first place nationally for the SkillsUSA competition for Health Occupations Professional Portfolio. She compiled a portfolio detailing experiences and awards related to the health field and gave an interview with a panel of judges.
The world leader in gifted education since 1979, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth is a nonprofit dedicated to identifying and developing the talents of academically advanced pre-college students around the world.
Siya was nominated by her high school as a part of the top 2% of her class and was chosen as a NJSP Program finalist. The program theme was The Future of Being Human, which focused on technological entrepreneurs, prolonging human life, and upcoming research initiatives.
Siya was invited to speak at the Invest in Girls Breakfast Fundraiser as a National GSUSA Gold Award Girl Scout. The event raised over $150,000 and allowed for more girls to join troops across Northern New Jersey. Here, she is pictured with GSNNJ CEO Betty Garger and Board Chair Bette M. Simmons.
The Silver Award is the second highest award of the Girl Scouts of the USA, and the highest award that a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. Siya earned the honor for making blankets and gift baskets for infants in the neonatal intensive care unit at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey.
For more than 20 years, Autism New Jersey’s cornerstone autism awareness campaign, the Ambassador Program, has had a significant impact on increasing the understanding and acceptance of autism in New Jersey.
